About Us

With more than 30 years of activity, “Sa&Ni” is one of the rare tennis clubs in Serbia with an extremly rich history in the “white sport”. It was founded in the last century as the firts private tennis club in Serbia, with four courts and a desire to evoke tennis to people. With time, “Sa&Ni” became a place where tennis is not just a sport and a recreation place – but a way of life

How did it all start...

All real stories result from true love. Our love for tennis and our desire to present tennis to the citizens of Belgrade, initiated the idea of opening the first private tennis club in our surroundings, going back as far as 1991.

Our story is specific, as it dates back to 1957, very much before the founding of the club, when one of the founders Bane Vucetic first got hold of a tennis raquet and did not let go of it until his dying day (†2019).

For many years Bane was a coach at the „Red Star" Tennis Club and later coach and director of the "Partizan" Tennis Club.

During his career he met his future wife, Dora Alavantic, former national team tennis player. The product of their love are their children Aleksandra (Sasa) and Nikola (Kica) and later on The "SA & NI" Tennis Club.

Through several decades the Club survived all the economic, political, war and other turbulences and pressures, sticking to its tennis story, adapting to the various hard times, but still developing the club infrastructure and membership, not once moving away from the main point of maintaining healthy relations, the soul of tennis as a game (and) Club as a way of life.

Where are we now?

After more than 32 years from the opening, we are still trying very hard to present tennis to our clients as something that is not according to the most modern standards, that is not "inn" but to feel the "old school" tennis and club life.
